some facts

90-95% of all Traditional Board and Train facilities utilize painful tools or methods. Your dog spends the majority of the time in a kennel.

Traditional daycares offer just play for full or half days with no training or they charge per hour for training on top of daycare.
Daycare only rates are
$36 - $54 per 8 hours.

Plus $125 per hour of training.
or $40-75 per half hour of training.
80-90% of daycares are not Certified Fear Free

WE BELIEVE THEIR IS A BETTER WAY TO TRAIN & SOCIALIZE YOUR DOGS

No yelling, no intimidation, no fear, no force, no tools that cause pain.

Our program helps you with basic manners and more advanced behavior training.

A private trainer costs between $200 - $300 for 2 hours of training or $400 - $600 for 4 hours of training & that doesn’t always include socialization, playtime or enrichment.

A typical board & train for 14 days costs between $2,500 - $3,000 and there are fallouts to a typical board & train program.

  • You don’t get to see your puppy.

  • 90-95% of B/T are punishment based and you must continue to use punishment based techniques. (ie: Shock, Prong, Choke)

  • Skills fall apart because you don’t get to practice with your pup daily, while they are learning their new skills.

WHY DO WE CRATE TRAIN? - Every dog at some point in their life has to spend time in a crate:
Emergency Vet Visits, Grooming Visits, Boarding.
We believe calm and happy in a crate is better than an anxious or panicked behavior in a crate.
Especially during times when the dog is injured/hurt or has never been there before.

DEFINITIONS -

Mild Resource Guarding - I have a toy, runs away, but will give it up if asked.

Mild Separation Anxiety - Mom, don’t leave, but wait, I get to train & I get to play.

Mild Trigger Fears - Oh that was scary, but i can recover ok.

Mild Demand Barking - That is mine, or I want it, can I have it. but will stop when asked.

Possible refer out
to private training, veterinarian or vet behaviorist
-

Moderate to Extreme Resource Guarding - People or dogs. Stiff body, snarling, excessive growling, lunging, redirecting.

Moderate to Extreme Trigger Fears -

  1. Stranger Danger - when around a stranger they freeze, shrink, lunge, snap, bark excessive (stiff, bares teeth, excessive growling)

  2. Noise Sensitivity - when startled, scared, by a noise, they lunge, snap, bark excessive, redirection to others (people or dog)

  3. Surprise Response - when they lunge, snap, bark excessive, redirection to others (people or dog), when startled, scared, by a touch, person or dog.

Moderate to Extreme Barking - Barks at everything, noise, demand, alerting, panic, etc.

NOTES:
Separation anxiety cannot be trained at a facility. This is a highly specialized training. This needs to be trained at it’s root, in the home, with the guardians. We have a great network of highly trained and certified separation anxiety specialists. Please let us know and we can connect you with those trainers.

Any behaviors determined to be borderline extreme during our 2 hour evaluation, we will refer you and your dog out to a preferred specialized private trainer and to a Veterinary Behaviorist.
